In the YappyWool mattress, the usual coconut fiber is supplemented with wool, which is not only safe for children but also improves their health. The thickness of the coconut fiber layer is 6 cm. Another 2 cm of the inner filling is taken up by the wool. In the cold season, it keeps the heat well inside the cot.
In the first 1.5 years of a child’s life, the manufacturer recommends laying the mattress with the coconut fiber up. With more rigidity, this material will provide the necessary support for the child’s spine and help it develop properly. Then it can be flipped to the other side. Thanks to the standard size of 120x60x9 cm, the baby can sleep on such a mattress up to 3 years old.
The wool fibers that are used for filling contain wool wax. This natural product is considered an excellent anti-allergenic and helps treat inflammation. This wax also helps in healing scratches and wounds.
The wool used in the production of YappyWool mattresses is electroneutral. This means that neither the child nor the mattress is charged during sleep and remains neutral.
The outer layers of the mattress consist of high-quality natural fabric, which consists of 90% cotton and 10% wool. The mattress cover is made of 100% cotton and can be washed in a washing machine at 40℃.
YappyKids does not use any adhesive components to join the layers of the mattress. The layers are sewn together and wrapped in fabric.
